GLASS
Haunted by the detonation of atomic bombs in New Mexico, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki, artist Judy Tuwaletstiwa turned to glass—formed from sand and fire—as a medium to explore the primal forces of creation and destruction. Glass chronicles her four-year exploration of glass as both material and metaphor, blending text and image in a deeply personal, boundary-defying work.
FROG DREAMING
Frog Dreaming is a storyteller who spends his days waiting for images and his nights dreaming, sharing tales with the Rock Family and his friend, Lizard. On his Night Journeys, he encounters mystical beings—including Gogolia, who sends Frog on a quest to find his Heart Song and give Death a Heart.

MAPPING WATER
Tuwaletstiwa blends natural materials with paint and text to explore the genesis of ideas and the deep unconscious, drawing inspiration from the desert landscape of Northern Arizona. Through evocative imagery—from Holocaust photographs to a dissected crow—she creates a poetic, layered language that bridges the visual and the visceral.
THE CANYON POEM
The Canyon Poem is a contemplative visual and literary journey through canyon landscapes, where sky, rock, water, and word converge. This 1997 release—printed by the renowned Stinehour Press and measuring 12.5" x 10"—features 64 pages and 61 illustrations of Judy Tuwaletstiwa’s evocative collages and writings.
